Hello Saturday! Hello weekend! I am grateful to be alive right now, living this gift of breath and morning and light, sipping hot coffee and counting my blessings. I’m grateful for seasons that overlap and remind us that few things in life are linear, that there are fuzzy edges to everything and that is the perfect order of everything. I’m grateful for immensely huge tarps to cover the garden and save the salad fixin’s – just in case – and neighbors who share their sunshiny spots. I’m grateful for all the things that help us see things more clearly – from the flashlights, streetlights, lightbulbs and candles that illuminate our darkness to the lenses, bifocals, binoculars, magnifying glasses, telescopes and microscopes that bring our world into focus. I’m grateful for hardiness and a walk in the rain and snow and ice and sunshine and a willing companion in Grail. I’m grateful for the affections of my wife, her compassion and kindness and amazing intellect, good food, wonderful friends and all the places and faces where Love and Joy show up in my life. What are you grateful for today?
