Happy Friday! Happy 86th birthday to my father! It is a cool start to the first day in many that we haven’t been promised rain and I am grateful to be alive right here and right now. I am grateful for open windows and fresh air and seeing more shades of green outside my window than I can count. I’m grateful for the opportunity I have had over the last week to see how life unfolds in hospitals and how easy it is to get caught up in conditions and issues. I’m grateful for the time I’ve been able to return to the security and serenity of my familiar home and to relax and reflect and decompress and sort out what’s real and what’s not. I’m grateful for my dear parents and their devotion to each other, my father’s fierce love for my mother, for my sister and her tenacity and knowledge, my beloved spouse who clears a soft, peaceful space for me to land when I crash, my friends who encourage me and uplift me, my family and all the ways that Life shows me love and support and strength and the times when my heart and my eyes are open and able to see it. What are you grateful for today?
