Good morning, Wednesday! It is a still, cool morning in the Bluegrass and I am grateful to be alive and living it. I’m grateful for open windows and sweet, clear birdsong filling the inside of the house, the long calls and melodies and short, percussive chirps and squawks, backed up by rustling leaves and faint windchimes, the distant cars and other sounds of urban living and for peaceful mornings. I’m grateful for the golden, morning light that filters down from the tops of the trees lighting up each leaf and branch, for freshly cut lawns and the smell of grass and spring and the promise of summer. I’m grateful for longer days, hot coffee, a strong, healthy body that likes to exercise, plenty of good food and clean water, my spouse, my family, my sister, my life, my ideas and inspiration. What are you grateful for today?
