It’s a warm, humid morning in central Kentucky and I am grateful to be alive and living it. My appreciation and gratitude for medical professionals continues today especially those who take care of us in the wee hours of the night, for the doctors and nurses and techs and EMTs who work tirelessly to support us and comfort us when we’re in pain or frightened or suffering. I’m grateful for my mother’s strength and stamina and indomitability, for her love for her children and my father, for her charm and sense of humor and her laughter. I’m grateful to get to know my mother at this stage of her life, to see her more fully and completely and as the amazing soul who is so much more than simply the roles she has filled throughout her life. I’m grateful for the support of my family and my spouse and community and all the ways that Love shows up in my life. What are you grateful for today?
