Hello Wednesday! It is another beautiful, clear morning in central Kentucky and I am grateful to be alive and living it. I’m grateful to sit in my office with the window open and listen to the world around me as it wakes and stretches into action, first the birdsong from near and far, then the low hum of distant traffic picking up on an artery into town, then nearby, car doors opening and closing, sleepy children asking questions – happy morning sounds. I’m grateful for family reunions and spending time with my brother and niece and all the work that went into getting them here, for my mother’s happiness and all the moments of delight she had as she was reminded throughout the day that her son was at her side. I’m grateful for good food prepared with love and good company. I’m grateful for Baptist Health and a hospital staff that is caring and considerate and gentle and thorough. I’m grateful for my beloved spouse and soul mate and her affections, our happy and comfortable home, my dear friends and all the reminders that I am supported and connected and loved. What are you grateful for today?
