Hello Wednesday! It’s a cooler morning in the Bluegrass and I am grateful for it. I’m grateful to be alive and living this beautiful morning, for being up before first light and watching the formlessness outside my window slowly divide up into lightness and darkness, bits of sky showing like pinlights through the mass of leaves and limbs. I’m grateful for the quiet of early morning, the peace of early morning, cats curled up in chairs nearby, a good night’s sleep and strong, hot coffee in my favorite mug. I’m grateful for all the ways medical technology and innovation are serving my loved ones right now, for comfort and good care and support. Today, I intend to spend time in meditation and contemplation, to do things to keep my body healthy, to celebrate love with people I love, to hug, to laugh, to put paint on a canvas, to do something to support my father, to do something to support my spouse, to do something to support my friends. What will you do with your gift of a day today?
